Best ecuadorian restaurant in Chicago
Great tasting, authentic Ecuadorian food!
My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and it was so refreshing. No uptight atmosphere. Just a cute date night spot. It's BYOB which is always great. Our waiter was Juan and he did a fantastic job! Our waters were always full and table was clean. Very friendly place and the best part is the food! I can't wait to try more food.
Good service I delicious food
Best ecuatorian food in Chicago, exelent service. Very nice and luxurious ambient and look.
Delicious Food,*****
I always come by purchasing some food here. I like the quick customer service and well prepared food. Keep it up.
Food is good but it takes too much time to be ready.
I love very delicious food
Great and delicious food, I love the vibes the spot has, and the employees were very nice. Will definitely come back again.
Awesome
Usually empty. Foods ok.
Very good food
I have been in Galapagos Cafe 6 or 7 times already, always asking for a different dish, I get in love with every single one i tested. The platanitos are delicious also.
I just went in to request a menu.
Good Ecuadorian flavor
The food is very good, the service was even better. Prices are ok, portion sizes are on the abundant side.
Very good food loved it
Good food, good prices, the servers are good and nice, but the service is a little slow, even when we ordered ahead by phone.
Very good every plate is delicious. I recommend arroz marinero it is great and plenty for two people
Good service
Good food
I give them the five stars because this place made me love Encebollado and some other Ecuadorian dishes :) mmmm and it's cool as they give free ladybugs. It is recommended!
The food is good. The problem is that they take too long.

ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
I'm sorry but it is a place that has no Ecuadorian flavor m I went to eat a catfish broth and that had nothing catfish was fish to make the pout
Mmmmm I was hoping for something better I went to buy a salchipapa and what I resivi was two bits of sausage was like half of one with a lot of potato lettuce was more or less but if I expected minimum a complete sausage 😡😡😡😡
Coconut fish was delicious
Very good restaurant
I'm probably not the best person to know if the food is authentic but food was great! We ordered a bunch of different dishes and I liked everything. I ordered the Cazuela and it was good.
The chicken broth was very simple
I recommended this place to anyone who hasn't tried Ecuadorian food and even to people who have because it is just deliciously fresh and definitely represents Ecuadorian food the way it should be represented. This place has received awards for being the best Ecuadorian Restaurant in Chicago. I definitely recommend getting there with enough time to wait for the food to get cooked. As I mentioned before it is fresh, so if you are in a rush don't stop by to later give a bad review about the place because it "took to long" to get your food prepped. They also offer pick up, so give them a call and order some food to go! :)
I walked in here by chance and I'm SO glad! The food here is outstanding! You would never think twice about this place from its exterior, but the second your food arrives you will be blown away. You know people always say about food from any particular country, you know it's good when it's full of people from that country. From what i saw, its the Ecuadorian restaurant that Ecuadorians eat at. It's not SUPER cheap but it's not expensive either They have sushi but I didn't try it. I'd stick with the Ecuadorian food, it's crazy good. I got churrasco, they bring plantain chips with a delicious dipping sauce/salsa. For an appetizer I got potato cheese patties, GET them, they are out of this world. They have jarritos, I got the mandarina flavor, but they have a lot of options. No alcohol, not sure if it's BYOB but don't let that stop you. It's a hole in the wall that you never want to leave!
The food is good but for some reason this time I did not enjoy it as much,. They have an amazing oatmeal drink and it's called Quaker sooo yummy. Going back again for another try
Excellent Ecuadorian 🇪🇨 food and been coming here for years!
